Rembrandt the Eternal Lands

A Role Playing Game

                                       Welcome

Rembrandt is a fantasy role play for all experienced role players. The land itself is vast and lush, a beautiful enchanting place. It is a haven for some, but a hell for those who oppose it. Rembrandt has made its way through many downfalls and has survived solely on the strength of the union of its people. The characters of this community are tight knit and willing to fight for each other at all costs. If you are a friend, you are welcome, but if you are foe... I fear for you.

                                       Storyline

Two hundred years have passed. Two hundred years since the fog was defeated, two hundred years since peace was once again restored throughout the land. In the legends of the ancients, the last living queen, the vampire Fawn of Mythos and Creperum, went into the depths of Mythos to take rest in mourning for those lost in her reign. It is said that the fabled Gallery of portals is where she lays her head; well guarded by ten highly trained guards and five vampiric wolf-dogs within an ivory coffin.  But Fawn’s story has become just a myth to the people alive now, myth and false hope for a land under siege.

The King of the Underworld, Risk, has waged war upon the peaceful lands. Determined to raise his dead lord and avenge his murder, he has raised all of Rembrandt’s dead and laid waste to the peaceful world. The only land he has not touched is the Queen Fawn’s. For fear of her rage or respect, it is unknown.

Legend says that Fawn had left an order to her guards and her people to alert her to danger through a telepathic link she keeps with them, but because Risk had never sought out Fawn’s land, they felt no need to alert her. Legend dictates that she lies oblivious beneath the land, her heart shattered for those lost.  The people know that she, the only fabled ancient known other than Risk himself, is strong enough to defeat him in single battle. The only hope against the vengeful king without the ancients is that the people may rise against him the King of Death itself; but with every Rembrandtian slain, they rise from the dead and turn against the rebellion under the King’s control.

However, this is but one journey; the outcome unclear. What obstacles will fall into the virgin hands of the Children of Rembrandt? Will the God’s and Goddesses will show mercy, or will they rain down further torture upon the innocent? Will the fabled ancient’s rise once more to defeat Death? Only time will tell, the bloody time of war.
